e-Visa Information
Most travelers to Egypt require a visa. Tourists can apply for an official e-Visa before traveling by completing an online application. The e-Visa is issued in advance and remains valid for a limited period from your date of entry. Eligibility depends on nationality, and the Egyptian authorities update the list of eligible countries regularly. Applying in advance helps speed up immigration procedures upon arrival.
Visa on Arrival
Some nationalities may obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Egypt’s international airports. To confirm whether this option applies to you, contact your nearest Egyptian Embassy or Consulate. Visa decisions are fully controlled by Egyptian immigration officers at the port of entry. Travelers are encouraged to secure an e-Visa beforehand whenever possible to avoid waiting times and ensure a smooth arrival.
